Lyndsay, I'm so glad I found your substack and have had the opportunity to connect with you. Congratulations on one year here and for putting yourself out there. I LOVED listening to your voiceover. There is something wonderful about hearing the writer's voice and even more so when you share the challenges of doing that. I also loved having the opportunity to meet you virtually on Wednesday!
You are doing amazing work and I will continue to look forward to reading and listening to your posts on here. I hope you do make more voiceovers as I really enjoy them!! xx
Hannah it was fab to meet you virtually the other day! I really enjoyed that time you set aside 💜
And I'm so pleased you are here and that we've found each others newsletters. Thanks for the wonderful words. I'm not sure about the voice overs in the future haha although perhaps it will get easier the more I do them 😜 xx
Lyndsay, whilst you are celebrating one year on Substack, I am celebrating YOU as a beautiful human being who is shining bright and bringing joy with your words and your voice. This is amazing and so are you. 🙏
Well, Lyndsay, it's not often I find myself weeping at my desk on a Friday morning (not since I ditched the hideous day job for which I used to drag myself to a London office, that is)!
Firstly: happy anniversary! 🥳
Secondly: wow, what a stunning post - you've expressed everything so absolutely beautifully. Your voiceover brought you right here into the room, as if we're having a cuppa and a chat together.
Thank you for always writing exactly what I love to read - you're a gifted and eloquent writer, always speaking straight from the heart.
Thank you so so much Rebecca for your kind words 😘
I'm really glad you enjoyed the post but I'm sorry it made you cry! I nearly cried thinking about it going out (I had to schedule it and that not look back until now 😂) It's been a great year on here and I'm so glad we've connected over our writing. And who knows maybe one day we will find ourselves having a cuppa and a chat in real life 😁 x
Hey, don't be sorry for making me cry - your story had really touched me, which means that a) you're a fabulous writer and b) I'm so fortunate to have access to things that really touch me.
And YES to that real-life cuppa and chat some time!!!!!!!
PS Did you know that your last couple of posts, including this one, aren't visible on your Substack Home page? I can see them in the Archive though. xxx
Indeed ❤️
Congrats on your first year, surely the first of many! 👏👏👏
Thank you so much Kate 💜
I certainly hope there are many more to come!
I largely grew out of mine but it still rears its ugly head usually at the most inopportune moments 😭😂
So typical isn't it!
Congrats for this joyous ride writing about your life and travels. I've been enjoying your work and look forward to more.
Thanks Stephanie ☺️
Here's to many more 🥰 x
