You've still got happy memories (and glorious slippers!) from Morocco as well as the not so good ones - but those are still something to treasure in their own way, such as the 'do you remember when....?' conversations over the years to come! I'm a believer in doing what feels right, and stopping doing what doesn't - so I'm deeply impressed and really happy that you're happy.
I completely agree with your decision. There are a few occasions when it’s important to stick at something even if it feels uncomfortable, but this wasn’t one of these situations. I agree with trusting your gut and doing what feels right. Life is too short to do things that don’t make you happy!
